September has warmed up considerably.  I was, at times, shivering on the Knavesmire, even having to resort to rumbling round the car boot under the spare tyre to try and find a presentable fleece to wear under my coat.  From astute observers I didn’t get away with it, apologies, but it was cold. 
 
The action on the course did at least warm the heart, in a few years time when we look back, I’m betting that it will prove to be a vintage year.   ...
