Interview with Harry Skelton
Find out more about jump jockey Harry Skelton, including which horse will keep him dreaming during the summer....
What is your motto in life?
What goes around comes around
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Work hard and you'll get what you deserve
What do you do to relax?
When not riding I like to go point-to-pointing at the weekends, to watch my girlfriend Bridget Andrews.
How old were you when you first sat on a horse?
Before I can remember!
What is your biggest strength as a jockey?
I like to think I can get them jumping.
Which race gave you your biggest thrill and why?
Winning the Irish Grand National was great, but landing the Ladbroke Hurdle on Willow's Saviour for my brother was really special.
Which race would you love to win?
The Gold Cup - that is the pinnacle.
Which horse will keep you dreaming during the summer?
Willow's Saviour. He is out in the field now and enjoying his summer holiday. He will probably go chasing next season and, if he takes to fences, he could be really exciting.
Any reflections on your first season with Dan?
It couldn't have gone any better. We had 26 winners, which was great, and hopefully it is onwards and upwards from here.
