Ten To Follow 06.02.19

With frost and snow calling off the weekend meetings at Wetherby and Musselburgh the only point scoring opportunities this week came at Sandown.

The action started with the Contenders Hurdle Listed Race where Buveur D'Air comfortably returned to winning ways to score by two lengths. With Buveur D'Air being the second most popular horse in the Ten To Follow stable his victory saw 226 teams gain another 20 points.

Next up was the feature race of the day the Grade 1 Scilly Isles Novices' Chase which saw a rematch between Lostintranslation and Defi Du Seuil. Lostintranslation attempted to make all, but was headed by Defi Du Seuil after the last who kept on well to reverse the form of his previous race, securing 35 points for 17 teams.

The final point scoring race was a Grade 3 hurdle race and saw the Peter Bowen trained Lord Napier put in an impressive performance to win by 9 lengths. However, this horse wasn't in any Ten To Follow teams, and so no points were scored.

Despite there only being three point scoring races this week there are some new names in our top ten. The full standing can be found here.
