Mishriff got us started with a runaway win in the Juddmonte International, a TTF bonus race. This was his first domestic Group 1 win and tipped his lifetime earnings to just over £11,000,000!

The feature race of day 2 was the Darley Yorkshire Oaks, and Snowfall was hot favourite after her Oaks victories. She made light work of her rivals in the end, pulling clear with ease to win by a comfortable 4 lengths. She now heads to ante-post market for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe later this year.

Day 3 was about stayers & sprinters. The late withdrawal of Trueshan left just four participants in the Lonsdale Cup, and for the third time in four years it went the way of Stradivarius. It was no procession this time around though, as the star stayer was pushed all the way to the line by Spanish Mission in what was one of the duels of the week.

The Nunthopre came next, and with the recent retirement of Battaash the race was looking for a new champion. Suesa set off as favourite, with american raider Golden Pal also well fancied in the market. However, it was the three year old Winter Power who got home in front for local trainer Tim Easterby.

The final point scoring winner last week came at Sandown in the Group 3 Betway Atalanta Stakes when Saffron Beach convincingly strode away from the rest of the field to win by over two lengths.

The win for Winter Power has kept David Marshall at the top of the table, with Mervyn Broom 50 points down in second place. The full standings can be viewed here.
