Ten To Follow 25.02.21

Posted 4 months ago

Since the last Ten To Follow update there have been 13 point scoring opportunities, five of which have been taken by players.

The action started at Sandown Park on the 18th where the Jamie Snowden trained Anythingforlove landed the Grade 2 contest. Well done to Alfred Stanley Ball who was the only player to pick the winner and score 30 points.

There were a host of point scoring opportunities on Saturday at Ascot and Haydock, however the only winner of the day to score for players came in the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton. The in-form Song For Someone went off as favourite, but it was Goshen who came home in front, powering home of the field and showing everyone that he's still got it! This result scored 30 points for 45 TTF teams.

There were plenty of good horses on show at Newbury on Sunday and the first point scoring opportunity came in the Betfair Denman Chase. Clan Des Obeaux was fancied in the market, but it was the other Paul Nicholls runner Secret Investor who landed the spoils, scoring 30 points for three TTF teams. Sceau Royal struck next, going one better than last year to win the Betfair Game Spirit Chase and score 30 points for 19 teams. The final points came courtesy of Soaring Glory in the ever competitive Betfair Hurdle. There were plenty in with a chance going over the final hurdle, but it was Soaring Glory who strode clear on the run in to win by three lengths.

Trevor Shaw still leads the way, now on 300 points. Adele Brown has moved into a clear second on 270, and Nick Marriott is on 255 points in third. The full standings can be viewed here
