Ten to Follow Update 05.09.2019
After the excitement of the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival at York Racecourse it has been a relatively quiet week for Ten to Follow players.
The point scoring action got underway at Beverley with the Listed Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes. The race saw Beverley’s course record holder Judicial get back to winning ways, staying on strongly in the final furlong to get home in front. This result scored 20 points for three different Ten to Follow teams, and was the only race this week to score points for players.
There was also a Listed contest at Chester which was won by Vivid Diamond under course specialist Franny Norton for trainer Mark Johnston. The final two point scoring opportunities took place at Sandown Park and were both Group 3 races. The first was for Fillies & Mares and was won by Lavender’s Blue who showed a smart turn of foot to win the race with plenty to spare. The final race was the Solario Stakes, and was won by odds on favourite Positive for trainer Clive Cox and jockey Adam Kirby. Positive found just enough in the final 100 yards to avoid an upset and deny the fast finishing Kameko and Oisin Murphy.
With only one race scoring any points this week the top of the leader board remains unchanged. The full standing can be viewed here.
