Ten To Follow 16.08.2019

Posted 1 year ago

With the Qatar Goodwood Festival now wrapped up and the Welcome To Yorkshire Ebor Festival just around the corner it has been a fairly quiet week for Ten to Follow players with only five point scoring opportunities.

The action started at Haydock Park where Miss O Connor put in an impressive performance on just her third start to take the Listed contest by a little over two lengths. The next race was the Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes where Royal Ascot winner Addeybb relished the underfoot conditions to land the feature race. Down in Newmarket there was a Group 3 race for fillies and the Mark Johnston trained West End Girl kept finding all the way to the line under jockey Franny Norton to win by over a length. Unfortunately, none of these horses where picked by any Ten to Follow players and so no points were scored.

The final two point scoring races of the update took place at Salisbury. The first of these was a Listed contest on Wednesday where Fanny Logan proved a class apart under jockey Rab Havlin to comfortably win the race by seven lengths.  Congratulations to David Marshall who was the only player to select the John Gosden trained horse and score 20 points. Thursday saw Salisbury play host to the Group 3 Tattersalls Sovereign Stakes. Having won impressively at Ascot last time out Flashcard started as joint favourite along with Hampton Court Stakes third King Ottokar. However, it was Kick On who took the prize just holding on at the line to deny former Royal Ascot winner Accidental Agent.

With only one Ten to Follow player scoring points this week there has been no change at the top of the leader board, the full standings can be view here.
