Ten To Follow Update 24.04.2019

Posted 2 years ago

This week saw only 5 potential point scoring races for players, all of which took place at Cheltenham on Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday's Grade 2 was won by Mister Whitaker who stayed on tenaciously up the run-in to hold off the challenge from Got Away. This win for trainer Mick Channon and jockey Jonathan Burke scored 30 points for 48 Ten To Follow teams.

Thursday started with a trio of Listed contests the first of which was won impressively by Indefatigable who readily drew clear under jockey Gavin Sheehan to win by a comfortable 10 lengths. The second Listed race provided Paul Nicholls with his first win of the day at Cheltenham as Kupatana jumped the last better than her nearest rival and stayed on to readily maintain her lead and score 20 points for players Ray Bown and Peter Rice. The final Listed race saw the colours of Her Majesty The Queen be taken to victory by Sunshade and jockey Nico De Boinville. Sunshade stayed on well to increase her advantage on the flat and fend off Augusta Gold by three and a half lengths.

The final point scoring race of the week saw Rachael Blackmore return to the Cheltenham Winners' Enclosure after a very decisive win from Havingagoodtime who made all and travelled strongly to win by 18 lengths.

With not many teams scoring any points this week there has been no change at the top of the leader board, the full standings can be found here
