Ten to Follow Update 24.07.2019

Posted 1 year ago

With just five point scoring races it has been a relatively quiet week for Ten to Follow players.

The action started with a Listed Race at Hamilton Park where Sameem proved a force to be reckoned with in middle-distance contests as he powered home to beat favourite Persian Moon by three lengths. The other point scoring race of the day took place at Newbury. This Listed contest saw trainer Andrew Balding and jockey Oisin Murphy combine with the filly Shadn who stayed on well in the final furlong to beat the boys and take the prize.

Saturday’s action got underway at Newbury with another Listed contest. This race saw champion jockey Silvestre De Sousa team up with Fox Chairman to get the King Power Racing colours home in front. Well done to Ten to Follow player Ray Horne who was the only person to pick Fox Chairman and score 20 points. Later in the card there was a Group 3 race where German raider Waldpfad caused an upset to win at a price of 33/1. Waldpfad put in a good performance under rider Andrea Atzeni to take the race by almost two lengths.

The final point scoring opportunity came at Newmarket’s July Course in the form of the Listed Aprhodite Stakes. The race saw Dame Malliot put in an impressive performance, staying on very strongly under Hollie Doyle to win comfortably by five lengths. However, this horse wasn’t picked by any players, and so no points were scored.

With just one Ten to Follow player scoring any points this week there hasn’t been much change on the leader board. The full standings can be viewed here.
