Ten To Follow 16.12.2019

Posted 2 years ago

It has been a quiet week for Ten To Follow players with only six point scoring races.

The first of these was a Listed race at Leicester where the odds on favourite Desirable Court delivered for Dan and Harry Skelton. The mare was made to work hard by two rivals, but she showed a good attitude, staying on well to win by three quarters of a length. Unfortunately this wasn't a point scoring race for players, but there could be one or two in the race to look out for in the future.

The rest of the action took place on the Saturday at Kempton Park and Warwick Racecourse. The first race was a hotly contested Listed race at Kempton which saw the likes of Top Notch, Black Corton and Charbel all line up at the start. In the end it was the Nicky Henderson trained Top Notch who ran on the strongest to beat Black Corton by 5 lengths. This result secured 20 points for 30 different Ten To Follow teams. The other point scoring opportunity at Kempton that day was the Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle Listed event and saw the relatively big priced Big Time Dancer travel strongly to win for Jennie Candlish and Jonjo O'Neill Jr. However, this horse wasn't selected by any of the Ten To Follow players, and so no point were scored.

The final three races took place at Warwick. The first was a Listed event which was won nicely by the Nicky Henderson trained Ok Corral. Congratulations to John Blee, Mike Chapman and Gary Hutt who were the only three players to pick the horse and earn the 20 points for the victory. The other two points races were won by the Dan Skelton trained Beakstown, and the Neil Mulholland trained Impulsive Star who performed well against a big field to achieve his first victory over fences. Unfortunately neither of these horses were picked by any Ten To Follow players, and so no points were scored.

With only two of the six point scoring races securing points for players the leader board remains relatively unchanged, and Phil Stubbs, Derek Latham, Alan Wellsteed and Gary Hutt remain in joint 1st place with 245 points each. All the latest scores can be found here.
